PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground storage tank laying method for simply setting an underground storage tank and laying the tank in the stabilized state in which distortion is generated little and also provide an underground storage tank laying bed used in the laying method. SOLUTION: A method comprises a process of forming a foundation supporting an underground storage tank 11 in an underground space 14 for laying the underground storage tank 11, a process of setting a bed 19 with a section being in contact with the underground storage tank 11 and formed into the shape following the shape of the underground storage tank 11 for the purpose of supporting the underground storage tank 11 on the foundation, a process of mounting the underground storage tank 11 on the bed 19 and a process of filling up the underground space 14 together with the underground storage tank 11 by using a filling material 23.
