PURPOSE: A call transfer method in the private branch exchange is provided to cancel a wrong transferred call and to forward a transferred call back to a person who transferred the call. CONSTITUTION: A first station line subscriber picks up a phone when a call is generated to the first station line subscriber from a second station line subscriber. As the second station line subscriber requests call transfer to other private branch exchange subscriber, the first station line subscriber pushes the transfer button to connect the second station line subscriber to other station line subscriber. The first station line subscriber dials a phone number of the private branch exchange subscriber, and stores the phone numbers of the second station line subscriber and the other station line subscriber. Recognizing wrong forwarding, the first station line subscriber tries recalling to the second station line subscriber by pushing the forwarding cancellation button.
