PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device in which characteristic correction with less irregular color and deflection in a whole screen is executed by means of a patch chart arranged at random. SOLUTION: The image forming device has a read section 1 reading an original image, a recording section printing the original image on a paper, a patch chart output section outputting a patch chart P1 for correcting characteristic dispersedly arranged so that density difference between adjoining patches is above a prescribed value in a plurality of patches P11 to P14 having mutually different density, saturation and hue, a detecting section for detecting density difference between these patches and a modifying section for modifying gradation characteristic of the reading section and the recording section based on the density difference. Generation of unevenness in respective hues on the screen can be prevented by executing characteristic correction by the patch chart arranged at random. |
