PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make ice blocks with an even size by means of an ice making apparatus, by correcting variation of the characteristics of a temperature sensor. SOLUTION: The setting system is applicable to an ice making apparatus I which circulates water for ice making to a cooler 1 included in a cooling apparatus and carries out ice-making operation over a predetermined lapse of time for ice making from a time point when the temperature of water for ice making reaches an ice point, based on an output from a WT sensor 51 for detecting the temperature of the water for ice making. Temperature drop of the water for ice making is monitored based on the output from the WT sensor 51, and an output value of the WT sensor 51 at which the temperature of the water for ice making remains unchanged is set as the ice point.
