PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device in which a battery can be replaced easily, a sufficient insulating distance can be provided between the battery and an electronic component on a printed board, and the cost can be reduced by reducing the number of components and hence the assembling time. SOLUTION: The electronic device comprises an outer case 1 and a control unit U1 inserted into the case 1. The unit U1 includes a base 2, a printed board 3 mounted on the base 2, a battery holder 4 mounted on the base 2, releasably holding a coin-shaped battery W, and having terminals to be connected to the anode and cathode of the battery W with these terminals connected to the board 3, an LCD 5 mounted on the base 2 and connected to the board 3, and a back light unit 6 mounted on the base 2 and connected to the board 3.
