摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively removing harmful organic chlorine compounds by using a catalyst capable of decomposing and removing the organic chlorine compounds such as dioxin or the precursor at a relatively low temp. SOLUTION: An incineration furnace discharged gas is brought into contact with a solid superstrong acidic catalyst. The solid superstrong acidic catalyst preferably contains (a) 100 pts.wt. hydrated oxide and/or oxide of at least one kind selected from a group IV metal, a group X III metal and a group XIV metal in periodic table expressed in terms of oxide and (b) 0.05-10 pts.wt. sulfuric acid portion expressed in terms of sulfur. And further 20-200 pts.wt. hydrated oxide and/or oxide of at least one kind selected from a group XIII metal and a group XIV metal in periodic table expressed in terms of oxide is preferably contained.
