PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption of a vibrator side without the need for troublesome operations by the user in communication equipment where arrival of an incoming call is informed by the vibrator designed as a separate unit other than the equipment body. SOLUTION: A signal sent from a portable telephone set B is received by a radio section 14 via an antenna 13 and a detection section 15 detects the signal, a data demodulation section 16 demodulates the signal into prescribed data. When a control section 20 discriminates that the demodulated data represents that the portable telephone set B is not in an immediate call reception state, the control section 20 controls a power supply 19 to conduct intermittent reception but terminates the intermittent reception when the control section 20 detects the data denoting that the portable telephone set B is in an immediate call reception state during this intermittent reception.
