PURPOSE: A device for removing time delay of a gain control channel in an optical amplifier is provided to prevent cross gain modulation in a channel add/drop period in a wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) network. CONSTITUTION: A.device for removing time delay of a gain control channel in an optical amplifier in the WDM network comprises a drop coupler(C1) for dropping an information optical signal in a specific ratio, and forming an information channel and a first control channel; a control circuit(430) for measuring a first control channel signal from the drop coupler(C1), and outputting a signal for compensating for a variation amount of the information signal through a second control channel; an add coupler(C2) for adding the information channel signal and a compensation control optical signal from the second control channel, and providing it to the optical amplifier(400); and an optical fiber delay line(450) connected between the add and drop couplers, for forming the information channel.
