PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color correcting device by which color correction is executed by selecting a color correcting parameter from among the plural ones corresponding to various images based on designated pixel information. SOLUTION: There are a gradation 1 that the most part of a designated gradation part exists out of a color reproduction range and a gradation 2 that the most of the gradation part exists within the range. An input image is converted into a color information, then the in or out of the color reproduction range is judged, when Th>=Out/(Out+In) (wherein, Out is outer data, In is inner data, and Th is threshold), the processing is proceeded. Namely, the color correcting parameter of a device default is set even in the case of giving gradation input. A visual difference is extended and the illegal gradation is eliminated as the distances between points p' and q', and q' and r' in the case of conversion into the points p', q' and r' by input p, q and r parameters, as for the selection of the plural parameters. Distribution analysis for selecting the color correcting parameter being the maximum in color difference average is executed by a color information analyzing part 18.
