PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquefaction hysteresis evaluation method by which it can be determined whether a point desired to grasp the liquefaction hysteresis has the ground having a high possibility of past liquefaction or not from a sample of the ground and the range of the ground having liquefaction hysteresis can be more accurately grasped. SOLUTION: According to this liquefaction hysteresis method, an upward seepage flow of a liquid controlled in its flow velocity is given to a specimen of a nondisturbane sample taken from the ground subjected to evaluation of liquefaction hysteresis, and pore liquid pressure is measured in two points different in height in the specimen. When a differential pressure of the pore liquid pressure obtained to the flow velocity is plotted, according to the presence or absence of hysteresis produced between a graph obtained by the first measurement with an increase in flow velocity at first and a graph obtained by the following measurement with a decrease in flow velocity, the liquefaction hysteresis of the ground is evaluated.
