The driving gear, especially for vehicles with caterpillar tracks, consists of a housing, that contains the main driving mechanism and the lateral driving mechanism. The main driving mechanism consists of an input shaft, a torque converter, a transmission box and the main shaft, ended at both ends with summation mechanisms. The outputs of the latter are also outputs of the driving mechanism. The lateral driving mechanism consists of an input shaft, a turn mechanism, a reversing gear and summation mechanisms, characterised by that the gear is modular in construction. Its modules are determined by the parallel planes of the housing division. Particular components of the latter are connected by means of articulate connections. The extreme modules (20 and 23) of the mechanism contain, in principle, the summing mechanisms (9 and 10). One of the internal modules (21) contains, in principle, the torque converter (3) and the reversing gear (15). The other of the internal modules (22) contains, in principle, the transmission box (5). The housing of the turn mechanism (13), integrated with its housing, is joined with an articulate connection to the body (1), and in particular to the module (21), containing the torque converter and the reversing gear.
