PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine effective as a disaster countermeasure for allowing a user to purchase commodities at need by ensuring at least the selling function of commodities even when a large disaster occurs, and the power failure period of a commercial power source is prolonged without using any battery. SOLUTION: A power is supplied from a commercial power source 1, and an operation and commodity selling is operated in a normal time in this automatic vending machine. This device is provided with a manual DC power generator 9 for generating power by manually rotating a driving handle 9a from the outside part of this device, an invertor 10 for converting the DC output of the power generator into AC with the same voltage as that of the commercial power source, and a power failure detection relay 11 for detecting the power failure of the commercial power source, and for switching an input to a sales control part and a band mechanism from the commercial power source side to the output side of the invertor. Thus, the commodity sales function of the automatic vending machine can be ensured by using a power generated by the manual DC power generator at the time of the power failure of the commercial power source.
