<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a voltage generated by a generator with a controller which is provided separate from the generator. SOLUTION: A pulse signal, which indicates running state, is outputted from an engine controller 9 and inputted to the controller 3 of a generator. A generated voltage setting means 33 sets a generated voltage according with information given by the pulse signal. The pulse signal is varied only within a predetermined range, which does not include full-off and full-on which correspond to the open- circuit failure and short-circuit failure of a signal line respectively. If the pulse signal is in a full-off state or in a full-on state, the controller 3 practices self-contained control with an intermediate reference voltage 14.5 V as a target value. As a result, positive fail-safe is achieved.</p> |
