PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an effective exhaust gas treatment method and device by a dioxin reduction in which a flying ash treatment is considered. SOLUTION: In this method, the exhaust gas including harmful components from an incinerator or a boiler is treated so that the exhaust gas is made harmless. In this case, the exhaust gas from the incinerator or the boiler is cooled to 130 to 180 deg.C, and soot and dust in the exhaust gas is removed by a filtration type dust collection means 2 composed of a bag filter. Then, the exhaust gas is led to a reaction ceramic filter 3 so that calcium hydroxide is sprayed and acidic components in the exhaust gas is removed.
