<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure watertightness between flanges and an insulating characteristic in a pipe fitting part respectively and to facilitate manufacture by boring bolt holes in the circumference edge of a link-type packing, forming a projection in the circumference edge of an inner hole, and coaxially embedding a ring-type reinforcing metal core in the thickness. SOLUTION: A bolt 7 is passed through one flange 5, and the bolt 7 is passed through a bolt insertion hole 2 in a flange coupling packing 1. A nut 8 is fastened around the bolt 7, and the packing 1 is compressed between both flanges 5. In this process, a projection 3 formed integrally along the circumferential edge of an inner hole 1a of the packing 1 is also compressed, and its compressing amount can be restricted by the thickness of a reinforcing metal core 4, so that excessive compression can be prevented. Therefore, the reinforcing metal core 4 part works as a stopper between both flanges 5 substantially so as to receive an inner pressure intensively. Even if fastening force of the bolt 7 is varied, a compression amount for the packing 1 and the projection 3 can be restricted to a constant amount by means of the reinforcing metal core 4.</p> |
