<p>A barrier element (10) that may be attached to similar barrier elements (10a) arranged end-end to form a barrier. The barrier element includes a hollow body (11) having two opposed side walls (12a and 12b) that are interconnected by opposing end portions (13 and 14). Straps (60) contained within the body (11) interconnect the end portions (13 and 14). As a second embodiment, the barrier element itself has a body (11) having two longitudinally extending side walls and two opposing end portions, the end portions being of opposite hand (43, 44, 45 and 46a, 46b, 46c) and adapted to interlock in both a horizontal and a vertical direction with an end portion of a similar barrier element. Relative movement of said barrier elements in a generally transverse direction will effect disengagement of the two barrier elements.</p> |
