PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight of a paper feed roller with a large diameter by using a cylindrical pipe as the paper feed roller and making a small-diameter cylindrical part projected from each of the ends of the cylindrical pipe as a rotational supporting shaft for the cylindrical pipe. SOLUTION: The whole part excepting a cylindrical pipe 5 serving as a paper feed roller is constructed of a drawn part 6 by a press. In the drawn part 6 formed from a thin plate material or a thin plate pipe, a large-diameter cylindrical part 7 and a small-diameter cylindrical part 8 are integrally molded coaxially while putting a flange type connection part 9 between them. When the large-diameter cylindrical part 7 is fitted in the end part opening of the cylindrical pipe 5, the drawn part 6 is integrated to the cylindrical pipe 5 by an adhesive or welding so as to be assembled as a paper feed roller 4. In the assembled body, the cylindrical pipe 5 serves as a paper feed roller, while the small-diameter cylindrical part 8 in the drawn part 6 serves as a rotational supporting shaft for the cylindrical pipe 5. In the paper feed roller 4, the whole part is formed of a hollow cylindrical body, so that it can be produced with light weight in spite of increase in the diameter as it has no solid part.
