PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a contactless IC card which also uses the function of a magnetic card by utilizing the conventional manufacturing device for a magnetic card as it is by forming a noncontact memory element on a first base film and forming a magnetic layer on the noncontact memory element. SOLUTION: This magnetic stripe tape 10 forms a noncontact memory element 30 on a base film 18 and a magnetic layer 12 on the element 30. The element 30 has an IC chip that is separated from the magnetic recording area of the layer 12 and is arranged. The antenna of the element 30 also comprises a dipole antenna. Because the element 30 is provided integrally with the magnetic stripe, it has both the function of a magnetic card and the function of a noncontact IC card according to the tape 10. Because the element 30 is also arranged at the magnetic stripe, it does not need the space for conventionally occupying card substrate any more. |
