PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the user to operate the camera without touching the camera and the need for using an operation member such as a remote controller and to easily and properly conduct operations such as zooming and framing in the case that the camera is mounted on part of the body of the user such as the head or the shoulder of the user. SOLUTION: An eyeglass display device 10, a camera section 14 and a microphone 20 or the like are placed on an eyeglass type frame of the electronic camera system 2. A photographer 4 mounts this electronic camera system 2 on its head like a eyeglass and decides a layout of a picture to be recorded by using both hands while observing an object. The camera section 14 detects positions of both the hands of the photographer and sets a segmentation range of the picture based on the positions of both the hands. When the photographer utters words to instruct release of a shutter, the microphone 20 detects the utterance and instructs the camera section 14 to release the shutter. Thus, the picture within the segmented range is segmented from a picture within a full photographing range of the camera section 14 and the picture is stored in a memory. |
