PURPOSE: An impact cushioning method when starting an engine of a parallel hybrid electric vehicle is provided to reduce an impact generated by the contact of a clutch when starting an engine. CONSTITUTION: An impact cushioning method when starting an engine of a parallel hybrid electric vehicle includes the steps of: working a clutch after changing the gear ratio to the lowest one when starting an engine while traveling with a motor; spraying fuel if the rotational frequency of an engine reaches a specific rotation frequency after working the clutch; and returning the gear ration to one before starting an engine. |
