The vehicle window (2), or opening panel e.g. roof panel, is operated by a servo motor (3) mounted in a convenient location away from the window. The drive force is transmitted to the window by a flexible drive coupling inside an outer support tube. The drive coupling can transmit tensile and compression forces. The drive coupling is connected to the window/panel by a thrust joint or by a linkage. A crank lever or a worm drive can also be used as a coupling element. |
