PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always accurately impact an ink droplet to a desired position by discharging a plurality of ink droplets in order of small or large discharging amount, and integrating the plurality of the discharged ink droplets to each other at substantially the same position on a recording sheet. SOLUTION: When both small and large ink droplets are discharged, the small droplets are flown substantially linearly toward a recording sheet 41 at a composite speed V1 of a moving speed, i.e., a carriage speed Vc and a discharging speed Vd1 in a main scanning direction of the carriage. Then, after a time T is elapsed from when the small droplet is discharged, the large droplet is flown substantially linearly toward the sheet 41 at a composite speed V2 of the speed Vc and a discharging speed Vd2. In this case, the discharging speeds of both the droplets and a time from the start of rising of a first drive pulse to the start of rising of a second drive pulse are previously set on the sheet 41 so that flying lines of both the droplets cross on the sheet 41. |
