PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally reinforce the ends of a beam connecting none of steel plates of a viscoelastic wall thereto in the case the viscoelastic wall is installed in a steel framed building. SOLUTION: A viscoelastic wall A formed by holding a viscoelastic body in an adhesive state between steel plates 3a and 3b is installed in a space surrounded by columns 1 and beams 2 of a steel framed building, and in the case the steel plates 3a and 3b are connected to both up and down beams in a state to ensure a gap between the side and column of the viscoelastic wall A, reinforced sections 6 are formed in non-connectable parts of both steel plates 3a and 3b in the ends of the beam by concrete 5 for increasing shear strength. In the case an H-shaped steel is adopted as the beam, a web section surrounded by the web of the H-shaped steel and flanges is filled with the concrete 5 to form the reinforced sections 6. In that case, the steel plates are welded between both up and down flanges of the H-shaped steel to use the web section as a closed space, and the closed space is filled with concrete 5.
