PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the sufficient output power of a vehicle AC generator. SOLUTION: A stator 2 has 96 slots. A rotor 3 has 16 poles. The number of slots formed in the stator 2 is 6 times of the number of rotor poles. With this constitution, a practical output power as a vehicle AC generator can be secured. Particularly, even if two or four conductors are provided in one slot, a sufficient output power can be obtained. The number of slots may be 97, or the number of slots may be 72 in accordance with the rotor 3 having 12 poles.
