PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester capable of performing quick automatic posture control for the machine body in response to its inclination at the beginning of the automatic posture control operation. SOLUTION: In a combine harvester equipped with a pair of left and right lift drive means for variably regulating the left and right support heights of the machine body supported on a pair of left and right travel units 7L, 7R, a vehicle height sensor and a horizontal sensor 16 for detecting the left and right support heights of the machine body and the left and right angles of inclination of the machine body, respectively, and a control means ensuring the left and right angles of inclination of the machine body to be set at respective specified values, this control system works as follows: a switch 28 for detecting a non-operation position and a changeover switch for the automatic/ manual mode of posture control are connected with the above control means, and the machine body is subjected to lift control from its lowermost limit position B to a position A a given height H higher than the position B when an operation clutch stands at off halting various operations or the automatic posture control stands at off.
