PURPOSE: An anhydrous and liquid phytase prepared by a)inject-drying or granulating in the presence of selected stabilizer or b)cross-linking chemically, are provided which are useful as feed. CONSTITUTION: The compound comprises a phytase and a stabilizing agent containing one or more compounds selected from a)20-60 weight% of C5 saccharide alcohol such as xylitol or libitol, b)10-50 weight% of polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 600-4,000 Da(preferably 1,000-3,350 Da), c)10-30 weight% of disodium salt of glutaric acid and succinic acid, d)1-10 weight% of carboxymethylcellulose and/or sodium alginate. The anhydrous phytase is stabilized by reacting with glutaraldehyde or adding adipic acid dihydrazide followed by oxidizing phytase carbohydrate residual group with sodium periodate. The compound has stability for long-term storage and heat stability for the high temperature(below 80-120°C) risen in the various feed treatment process such as a pelletizing, an extrusion and a swelling.
