PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute correction of deflection of a plate easily and correctly without using a particular device such as a wedge machine or the like and yet without exerting bad effects on ram motion in a press blake having >=three driving shafts. SOLUTION: Based on bending work data beforehand inputted, a position of starting velocity deceleration and a position of lowest limit of each of driving shafts at the time of bending work, and a region to execute synchronous control, a region to execute independent control, and travelling velocity of each of the driving shafts in the region to execute independent control are respectively calculated. In the bending work, down to a position of starting of velocity deceleration, all the driving shafts are made to descend synchronously at high speed, and from the position of starting of velocity deceleration to the position of a lowest limit, in combination of the synchronous control and the independent control, all the driving shafts are made to descend at a low speed so that they may arrive at their respective lowest limit position at the same time.
