The invention concerns a method for treating slag, characterised in that it consists in subjecting the liquid slag to a reducing physico-chemical treatment, separating the metal fraction from the mineral fraction of the treated slag, and recuperating the metal fraction and the mineral fraction. The invention is applicable in particular to an electric steel production furnace. The invention also concerns the treatment of flue dust.
