PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell capable of satisfactorily generating power, even when using hydrocarbon such as methane as the reformed gas. SOLUTION: In a solid electrolyte fuel cell formed by layering a fuel electrode 12, the electrolyte 13, an air electrode 14 on a porous base tube 11, the fuel electrode 12 is composed of a mixture of NiO- and ZrO2-alkali earth metal oxides. In this case, catalytic activity of the material composed of NiO- and ZrO2-alkali earth metal oxides is improved by the reforming reaction of methane, and generated voltage is improved. |
