摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically obtain the mass-producing die of intricate shape consisting of porous sintered metal in a short time by compacting a compound obtained by adding undissolved powdered agar as a binder to a metal powder having a specified grain diameter, sintering the compact to thermally decompose the powdered agar and forming a cavity. SOLUTION: The compound obtained by adding a specified amt. of undissolved agar as a binder to a metal powder of SKD-11, etc., having 0.5-15μm average grain size is kneaded with a small amt. of stearic acid and water and cooled to form a metal block. The block is crushed to form a powdered compound. The compound 10 is packed in the formwork 18 of a die forming device 14. An upper lid 20 is then lowered, and the compound is compacted while fluidizing the compound 10 by controlling the temp. through the temp.- controlled presser disk 22 and fixed disk 16. As a result, a precision die capable of being modified by slight postworking is formed.
