PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable generation of natural melody suitable for a non-diatonic chord in a melody generator. SOLUTION: Key information to express keys like a C major key and chord information to express a chord by every chord section are inputted. The melody is generated by using scale notes of the key to be expressed by the key information in the chord section in which diatonic chords like C are provided and the melody is generated by detecting an available note scale (AVNS) based on the key information and the chord information and using notes P, Q in the AVNS in the chord section in which the non-diatonic chords like D<b> M7 are provided. In this case, since the notes P, Q which are not the scale tones of the key and the note Q which is not a chord component are also selected as melody notes, the natural melody suitable for the non-diatonic chord is obtained. |
