PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously obtain graphite powder while controlling the abrasion of electrodes. SOLUTION: In this electric furnace for graphitization in which carbon powder packed in a furnace body and an electric current is sent to electrodes 9a and 9b opposingly arranged in the furnace body 1 with laying carbon powder between the electrodes and the carbon powder is graphitized by the heat generation of the carbon powder by the electrification, the three anodes 9a which are each connected to any of the half-wave rectification output of three-phase current and are close at fixed distances and one cathode 9b connected to the neutralization point of the half-wave rectification output are opposingly installed sandwiching the carbon powder between them.
