PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a weatherstrip for enabling the supporting operation of a vertically movable window pane in the doors of various kinds of vehicle such as an automobile to be lightly, smoothly and stably performed. SOLUTION: A weatherstrip body is made of a polyolefin synthetic resin of 90 or more Shore A hardness and a lip part is made of a polyolefin resin thermoplastic elastomer of 80 or less Shore A hardness. In addition, the constituent material of a protecting coating film formed on the surface, which comes into contact with the vertically movable windown pane, of the lip part, is made of a synthetic resin mixture of a polyolefin synthetic resin as a base material and an additive material of polyolefin, nylon, urethane, polystyrene or the like in the form of powder or particle and in varying size with a higher melt point than the base material. The weatherstrip body, the lip part and the various constituent materials of the protecting coating film are simultaneously molded by extrusion using their respective extrusion molders, and then are introduced through the interior of a molding die to be extrusion-molded in one piece, and a rough face part is formed on the surface of the protecting coating film by an uneven pattern created due to the difference of the melt point. |
