PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a light resistance of a color developed part and a skin part and an image preservability of the color developed part and to reduce head tailings or sticking at the time of recording by incorporating a dihydroxybenzophenone derivative zinc salt represented by a specific formula in a thermosensitive recording layer containing a developer as a main component. SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording medium comprises at least one type of a dihydroxybenzophenone derivative zinc salt represented by the formula (wherein R1 , R2 , and R3 are each a hydrogen atom, 1-12C alkyl group, 1-12C alkoxy group, hydroxyl group or hydroalkyleneoxyalkyl group, and n is 1 or 2). The dihydroxybenzophenone derivative zinc salt can be synthesized by preparing a dihydroxybenzophenone derivative and a zinc compound. Thus, a light resistance of a color developed part and a skin part and an oil resistance of the color developed part can be improved, and head tailings or sticking at the time of recording can be reduced. |
