A method of producing an electrode for non-aqueous electrolytic cells comprising applying an electrode activating substance layer comprising an active substance of polymer carbon, an electrically conducting agent of scale-like graphite and a bonding agent onto a collector, characterized in that, when the specific surface area of the active substance as measured by the BET method is denoted by Sa, the blended weight thereof at the time of kneading by Wa, the specific surface area of the graphite as measured by the BET method by Sg, and the blended weight thereof at the time of kneading by Wg, the substances are kneaded by a kneading device under the conditions satisfying the following formula: Wa/Wg $(m)G (0.5 x Sg)/Sa. This method makes it possible to obtain an electrode for non-aqueous electrolytic cells featuring improved charge/discharge characteristics such as discharge potential, discharge capacity, and life of charge/discharge cycles.
|
