Building block for model building

The building blocks (1) are made from a material containing natural fibers and having several small individual fibers preferably without any fixed preferred orientation. The block which has connectors and sockets is preferably compressible or deformable at least in the region of same so that the connectors and sockets mutually engage with better force-locking action.
