1409603 Dentifrice manufacture COLGATEPALMOLIVE CO 26 Sept 1972 [1 Oct 1971 14 June 1972] 44467/72 Heading ASB Gas-free paste and gel dentifrices are produced by making a degassed or gas-free mixture of a liquid medium, gelling agent and polishing agent, preparing separately an essentially gas-free mixture of synthetic organic detergent (non-ionic or, preferably, anionic) and a liquid medium therefor and admixing the mixtures. The preferred de-gassing method is the application of a partial vacuum to the heated substances. A wide range of each of the essential ingredients are specified. Conventional additional ingredients (e.g. flavours, antibacterial agents and colouring) may also be present. The process is applicable both to opaque and transparent dentifrices. |
