PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility of a guiding intersection by plotting a normal intersection and a large rotary, etc., by appropriate magnifications corresponding to the respective ones. SOLUTION: In this navigation device for performing guiding along a route, based on information for the intersection requiring guidance present on a route and the route, the plotting area of an intersection drawing is controlled and the intersection drawing is prepared. By a display control means based on map information stored in a storage means and route information stored in a route storage means, the plotting area of the intersection drawing is decided and prepared based on the route information and the information of the intersection requiring the guidance. Also, whether or not the intersection requiring the guidance is the intersection larger than a prescribed range is judged, and in the case that it is larger than the prescribed range, a scale is reduced so as to display the entire intersection and a display area is controlled. Or, in the case that the intersection requiring the guidance is the intersection larger than the prescribed range, the display area is controlled so as to display all the routes within the intersection. |
