PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability and holding performance of a connector for printed wiring board for connecting plural terminals and for holding a FPC(flexible printed circuit) or the like. SOLUTION: A housing 30 is provided with an insertion groove 31 for insertion of a FPC or the like. Plural contacts 10 (10A, 10B), 10,... are provided in parallel with contact parts 12 freely to be moved forward and backward in relation to the insertion groove 31. An operating member 20 is provided freely to be turned between a connecting position and a releasing position, and the operating member 20 is provided with plural cams 23A, 23B. When the operating member 20 is positioned at the connecting position, the contacts 10, 10... are pushed by the cam 23 at a part 13 to be operated so as to project the contact part 12 toward the insertion groove 31, and the contact part 12 pressure-contacts with the terminal of the FPC or the like so as to connect the terminal and while hold the FPC or the like. When the operating member 20 is positioned at the releasing position, a part of the contact 10B is pushed by a cam 23B at the part to be operated 13 so as to project the contact part 12 a little toward the insertion groove 31, and the contact part 12 abuts on the FPC so as to temporarily hold the FPC, and the residual contact 10A moves the contact part 12 in relation to the insertion groove 31. |
