<p>A ladder combined with three different transport functions which can be transformed into a trestle ladder, a long ladder, a sack truck and a vehicle to be used by craftsmen and storemen needing a simple assembly for many purposes. Two ladder sides (4 and 5) are held together in two pivotal joints (1 and 2) on the uppermost step (3) and are pivotally journalled about the axis of rotation S1, which can be locked by means of a biased clamp (12) secured to a locking piston. A blade (8) is hinged to the rear lowermost step and can also be used for securing the two ladder sides by virtue of its shape which can fasten the front lowermost step, and by means of a locking mechanism provided with a biased rocker arm (9) which presses the head of the rocker arm into one of two openings so as to fasten the blade along the ladder side or at an angle of 90°. The wheels can also be locked along the ladder sides and at an angle of 90° opposite the blade by means of a locking mechanism placed on a sleeve of the wheel suspension, said sleeve acting in the same manner as the locking means (9) with a biased rocker arm, (9a) of the blade. An additional wheel is mounted on the uppermost step and renders it possible to use the assembly according to the invention as a vehicle.</p> |
