PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator material superior in mechanical strength and workability, and capable of maintaining low electric resistance for a long period at a high temperature range. SOLUTION: A heat-resistant metal or a heat-resistant alloy is used for a base material 11, mixed powder comprising conductive ceramic powder and metal powder is plasma-sprayed on the base material 1 to form an underlayer 12 of a coating, and the conductive ceramic powder is plasma-sprayed on it to form an upper layer 13 of a coating. Since the oxidizing of the base material 11 is prevented by the upper layer 13, and since thermal stress between the base material 11 and the upper layer 13 is relaxed by the underlayer 12, the upper layer 13 or the like is prevented from separating from the base material 11, even when it is used for a long period at a high temperature, to maintain low electrical resistance and to enhance durability. |
