PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function for selecting a proper cue phrase for connecting talk segments. SOLUTION: The explanation generating device of a natural language interaction system consists of a subject structure information storage means 6, an interacting means 2 which generates talk segments by referring to subject structure information and outputs a talk including the talk segments and a cue phrase, a talk history information storage means 4, a talk structure decision rule for determining talk structure information representing the positions of the talk segments, a cue phrase selection rule for selecting the cue phrase from the talk structure information, subject structure information and talk history information, a means 8 which learns the cue phrase selection rule, and a means 10 which determines the cue phrase by making use of the cue phrase selection rule. |
