PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transfer recording device of high transfer efficiency of donor ink. SOLUTION: An image receiving sheet 140 with its image receiving layer 144 facing outward is wound on a drum 310, on which a donor sheet 240 with its donor layer 244 facing inward is wound on the drum 310. The donor sheet 240 is laser exposed by a recording head 350, and donor ink on the donor sheet 240 is transferred onto the image receiving layer 144 of the image receiving sheet 140. The donor sheet 240 is delivered from an outward winding donor sheet roll 230 with a donor layer 244 formed on the outside and wound on the drum 310 facing the reverse side of the donor layer 244 facing inside. As the curling direction of the donor sheet 240 is fixed to the curving face of the drum 310, the donor sheet 240 can be released easily from the image receiving sheet 140 to transfer efficiently the donor ink on the ink receiving sheet 140.
