PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method of a metal plate with a photocatalyst having excellent characteristics of decomposing oil and dirt not only in a UV wavelength region but in a visible ray region. SOLUTION: In the process of dispersing titanium oxide particles having <=1μm particle size in a solvent and applying on a metal plate by spraying method, one of polyparaphenylene, polythiophene, polyaniline compds. and phthalocyanine compds. is dispersed in a solvent and applied by using another spraying means at one time. In this process, by controlling the spraying amt. ratio of the titanium oxide to the org. polymer semiconductor to a specified range, and by controlling the baking temp. and the baking time of the coated steel sheet, the photocatalytic characteristics can be developed not only in a UV region but in a visible ray region, and therefore, the produced metal plate has an effect to decompose oil and dirt.
