A car headlamp has a lamp (10) attached to a lamp carrier (30), a reflector (20), devices to fasten the lamp carrier to the reflector, an external connector which is mounted on a part of the structure of the headlamp independently of the fastening of the carrier to the reflector and electrical conductors (1,2) which are intended to make an electrical connection between the external connector and electrical terminal devices of the lamp. The lamp carrier is mounted in detachable fashion on an intermediate piece (40) connected rigidly to the reflector. This intermediate piece is provided with electrical connecting devices (41,42) that are intended to be connected to the electrical conductors. At least one part of the connecting devices (31,31) of the lamp is connected rigidly to the lamp carrier. With the attachment of the lamp carrier to the intermediate piece, it can make electrical contact with the electrical connecting devices of the intermediate piece.
