FIELD: technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: method used to determine continuity of flax fiber colour in stem length includes comparison of light fluxes of visible spectrum with wave length of 400-450 nm, which are reflected from absolutely white colour and researched sample in different places along fiber length, colour continuity of flax fiber is defined by difference of fiber colour parameters in top and butt parts of stem and comparison of calculation results to reference values. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy of fiber continuity definition along stem length.
