The lamp (8) is permanently fixed to a hollow mast (1) and a wind turbine (2) inside the mast is driven by the vertical air flow in the wind channel formed between an inlet (4) at the bottom of the mast and an outlet (5) at the top. A second turbine (6) mounted externally on top of the mast is driven by the horizontal air flow. An accumulator (7) connected by bus-bars stores the generated power and supplies the lamp. Applying the wind sock principle the external turbine can be mounted on a boom.
