<p>PURPOSE:To use one card for contact type and noncontact type and to improve universality of the card by providing a receiving terminal connected to a card terminal and a communication unit connected to the terminal for externally communicating information of an IC card in a noncontact type. CONSTITUTION:When a card case 1 is inserted, a reader 5 is supplied with high frequency power from a power source supply circuit 55 to a transmission coil 53 by a command from a data processor 54, the power is supplied to a receiving terminal 3a, and a card IC module 21b through a terminal 21a, and the card 21 contained in the case 1 is activated. Simultaneously, when address of data desired to be read is output from the processor 54, it is received by a reception coil 41 of a communication unit 4, reproduced as a binary signal by a data reproducing circuit 46, and input to the module 21b. Here, since the module 21b has a semiconductor memory cell therein, the content stored is output in response to the signal from the circuit 46, and input to the processor 54 through a reading side data reproducing circuit 57 to read desired data.</p> |
