A SLIDING SURFACE FOR TRANSFER OF AN OFFSHORE PLATFORM TOPSIDES FROM A SUBSTRUCTURE TO A FLOATING TRANSPORTER

In a method for the transfer of an offshore platform tospides (3) from a substructure (2) fixed to the seabed to a floating transporter (1), where the tansporter (1) is lowered by means of ballasting and moved in under the platform topsides (3), whereupon the transporter is deballasted thus causing it to be raised and lifting the topsides from the substructure, there are employed a vertically acting spring device (15) and a horizontal sliding surface (17) arranged in series between the topsides (3) and the transporter (1).
