PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect cabin temperature accurately from the color information of a temperature sensitive liquid crystal. SOLUTION: The temperature sensitive liquid crystal 2 is disposed in the cabin of an automobile 1 and the image of the cabin is picked up every predetermined time from the outside through the window by means of a color imaging camera 3 and processed by an image processor 4 to produce a pickup image. The image processor 4 extracts color image information of R, G and B from the pickup image and operates the three-dimensional position of the objective liquid crystal. Cabin temperature is operated by picking up the image of the temperature sensitive liquid crystal by means of the camera and converting color information obtained from the pickup image into temperature information. |
